How do I pour epoxy thicker than 1/8 inch on a floor or embed rocks?

UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy self-levels to 1/8" per coat and cannot be poured thinner or thicker. The approach depends on how much depth you need.

For 1/4" to 1/2" (leveling tile edges, filling gaps in a cordwood floor), stack Bar & Table Top flood coats. On a tabletop a second coat can go on after 4-6 hours, but on a floor wait at least 24 hours so you can walk on it, sand the cured coat with 220-320 grit, wipe off the dust with denatured alcohol or acetone, then pour the next coat. It fills the sanding scratches and cures glass-clear again.

For 1" or more (embedded river rock, wood pieces, deep voids, LED channels), use UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy for the thick section. Deep Pour needs at least 1/4" per layer, pours up to 1" at a time, and builds up in 1" layers every 12-24 hours to 6" total. It is softer than Bar & Table Top, so it should not be the walking surface.

Sequence for an embedded floor: 1. Seal coat the floor, rocks and any porous material with Bar & Table Top Epoxy. 2. Pour the Deep Pour section. 3. Cure a full 3 days, then sand and clean it. 4. Flood coat with Bar & Table Top Epoxy for a durable, scratch-resistant top layer.
