Can I Pour Multiple Layers of Epoxy to Build Up Thickness?

Yes. UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy self-levels to 1/8" per flood coat, and it can't be poured thicker or thinner than that in a single layer. To build depth, pour additional 1/8" layers every 4 to 6 hours. Within that window the layers bond together as one with no sanding or prep in between, and you can keep stacking them up to a total depth of 1.5". Pouring thicker than 1/8" at once will affect the curing process and the final result, so space the pours out instead.

Standard coat vs. extra layers

One 1/8" flood coat is the industry standard for bar tops, table tops and countertops; commercial bars and restaurants use a single coat. Extra layers are optional.

Need more depth?

If your project needs a deeper fill, such as a 1/2" or 1" pour, a river, or open gaps that need filling, we suggest UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy instead. It pours in layers from 1/4" up to 1" thick, spaced 12 to 24 hours apart, so you can bring the deep sections level with the rest of the surface and then coat the whole top with Bar & Table Top Epoxy as normal. If too much time passes

If more than 10 hours pass between layers, the epoxy will have hardened and the previous layer must be lightly sanded and cleaned before the next pour.
