How much epoxy do I need for a floor?

Plan on a seal coat plus one flood coat of UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy. One gallon covers about 48 sq. ft. as a seal coat and about 16 sq. ft. as a 1/8" flood coat. In practice, the minimums we quote for floors are: about 3 Gallons Combined for a 30 sq. ft. penny floor, at least 6 Gallons Combined for a 60 sq. ft. concrete floor, at least 8 Gallons Combined for a 7' x 12' (84 sq. ft.) room, and at least 12 Gallons Combined for a 105 sq. ft. wood floor. Order more than the minimum. The flood coat has to be poured in a single session, so it is safer to have extra on hand than to run short.

Thick pours are a different calculation. A 1.5 gallon kit of UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy covers about 2.5 sq. ft. at 1" deep, so a 1" pour over a 260 sq. ft. room would take roughly 156 gallons. Floors over 100 sq. ft. are generally not cost-effective with our products. For those, a standard flooring epoxy system is the better fit.
