How much pigment do I need for a multi-color epoxy pour?

Plan on one 51 g container of Pigmently mica powder for each color you are using. That is the size we recommend for three colors going into 3 gallons of UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy, and one container per color is more than sufficient for a 5 to 7 color dirty pour over a 13-foot concrete bar using about 5 gallons of epoxy. Powders are the better choice for multi-color work on larger projects: they give you more to work with and reach a solid color without much added.

If you would rather use liquid dyes, expect to need multiple bottles per color to tint the epoxy to a solid color. For a large pour, get 2 to 3 of the 30 ml bottles of each color and test first to be sure you have enough.

There is no exact ratio for any color. Measure the hardener first, add the pigment slowly until you reach the shade you want, then add the resin and mix. Each person sees color a little differently, so order a sample pack and run small test batches before committing to the full pour.
