Which pigment colors work best for an ocean wave epoxy table?

Many customers use Pigmently Mica Powder Pigments for ocean wave pours, although the Pigmently Liquid Dyes can also be used depending on the look you want. Powder pigments give shimmer, pearlescent and opaque effects; liquid dyes give transparent, stained-glass style tints. With the powders, the more pigment you add, the more solid the color becomes, so you can run the same color from translucent to opaque. Do not use paint to color the epoxy.

For the blue water colors in the powders, look at Neon Blue, Real Royal Blue or Deep Blue Wonder. For a shallow-water or shoreline look, stay with turquoise and blue tones such as River Table Turquoise, Greek Turquoise Pearl or Real Royal Blue, and add a touch of white for a softer, milky shoreline effect. For wave caps and foam, use Snow Queen or Porcelain White.

Color is subjective and changes with the depth of the pour, the lighting and the surface underneath, so there is no single right choice. Order a few sample sizes, do small test pours and read the pigment FAQ before you start the real piece.
