Will UltraClear epoxy work on unusual objects like guitars, tumblers, or pool cues?

Usually yes, but test first. UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy is primarily designed to be poured onto flat, level surfaces such as tables and countertops, where it self-levels to 1/8" and cures to a glass-like, high-gloss finish. It's our strongest and most durable epoxy.

Customers have used it for all sorts of applications, including vertical surfaces and oddly shaped objects: tumblers, pool cues, knife handles, fishing lures and more. The same product and advice apply to guitars, guitar cases, rifle stocks, painted furniture and carbon fiber parts.

For anything that isn't flat, brush the epoxy on with a paint brush, then go over it with a heat gun to smooth out the brush strokes. If the object has a flat top you can pour over, use it the same way you would on a table.

These uses are outside the product's intended purpose, so we don't have guides or tutorials for them and they're done at your own risk. Order a small kit and test first to see how it applies and cures on your material.

Two more notes. All epoxy cures high gloss; for a satin or matte look, spray a matte or satin lacquer over the cured epoxy (test that too). And if the piece will live in the sun, the built-in UV inhibitors help and a UV-resistant polyurethane topcoat adds protection, but no epoxy is completely UV proof.
