Can I use epoxy on a shuffleboard table, and which product should I use?

Yes. Use UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy for a shuffleboard playing surface. Many customers have resurfaced shuffleboard tables with it over the years with great long-term results, and it is our most scratch-resistant formula.

It is the right product because a playing surface is a thin coating: Bar & Table Top Epoxy self-levels at about 1/8" per flood coat. UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy is not an option here. It can only be poured 1/4" or thicker and is not designed for thin coats.

Never pour Bar & Table Top Epoxy deeper than 1/8" at a time. If you have inlays or low spots that need more depth, fill them first in layers:

1. Apply the seal coat and wait 4-6 hours. 2. Pour a 1/8" layer into the deeper areas only, then wait another 4-6 hours. 3. Pour the final 1/8" flood coat over the entire surface.

For quantity, use the coverage calculator: https://www.bestbartopepoxy.com/pages/epoxy-calculator. One gallon covers about 16 sq ft as a 1/8" flood coat or 48 sq ft as a seal coat. As a reference point, a 22 ft x 20 in shuffleboard table needs 5 gallons combined.
