Can I mix Bar & Table Top Epoxy by weight instead of by volume?

UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy is a 1:1 ratio by volume, not by weight, and measuring by volume is the only method we recommend. The resin and hardener do not weigh the same, so if you weigh out equal amounts of each on a scale, the mix will be inaccurate. Use graduated measuring containers, like the ones available on our site, and measure equal volumes of each part, for example 64 oz of resin to 64 oz of hardener.

If you still prefer to work with a scale, the mix-by-weight ratio for Bar & Table Top Epoxy is 100 parts resin to 82 parts hardener. Even so, sticking to the 1:1 ratio by volume is the recommended method.

This weight ratio applies to Bar & Table Top Epoxy only. We do not have a mix-by-weight ratio for UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy or UltraClear Art & Craft Epoxy; those products must be mixed by volume.
