Can I add another Deep Pour layer after the 24-hour recoat window has passed?

Yes. Waiting longer than the 12 to 24 hour re-coat window is fine for any project; you just have to prep the cured surface so the next layer can bond. Once you are past the window, wait the full 3 days (72 hours) for the UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy to cure hard to the touch so it can be sanded and cleaned, then:

1. Lightly scuff-sand the whole epoxy surface with 220-320 grit sandpaper. 2. Wipe off all the sanding dust with a clean rag and denatured alcohol or acetone. 3. Pour the next layer directly over it.

The new layer fills in the sanding scratches and cures clear and glass-like again as long as you mix correctly, so there is no need to polish the sanded layer first.

The same process fixes a flaw between layers. If you have air bubbles along the edges of a cured river pour, for example, wait the 3 days, sand the bubbles down with a coarser paper, finish with 220-320 grit, then scuff and clean the entire surface before pouring the next coat.
