Can Deep Pour Epoxy be poured 3 to 6 inches deep in one pour?

No. UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy can be built up to 6" in total depth, but in 1" layers poured every 12–24 hours, not in one pour. We're not aware of any epoxy resin system that can be poured 6" deep in a single pour. Beginners should stay at 1" per layer; experienced users in a cool, controlled room can go up to 2" per layer.

So for a deep casting, a 3"-deep pond-style vanity top or a 6"-thick desk with a channel of embedded objects, plan on a series of 1" pours. No sanding is needed between layers as long as each one goes on within 12–24 hours of the last.

Before you pour: - Seal any wood, rocks or other porous objects you're embedding with a coat of UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy first, or they'll release air bubbles into the Deep Pour. - Don't use scrap wood or filler blocks to cut down on epoxy volume. That's not something we recommend, and it's outside what we can advise on; use the epoxy as designed. - Size the project with the Deep Pour calculator: https://www.bestbartopepoxy.com/pages/deep-pour-epoxy-calculator. A 3" pour over a 32" x 34" area, for example, needs a 12 Gallon Kit.

For a table, desk or countertop, finish with a flood coat of Bar & Table Top Epoxy over the cured Deep Pour for durability and scratch resistance. For purely decorative castings, Deep Pour can stand alone.
