Can your epoxy be used underwater in a pool, fountain, or aquarium?

No. None of our products are made for surfaces that stay underwater. Our epoxies, including UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy, UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy and UltraClear Art & Craft Epoxy, are designed primarily for surfaces such as tables, bar tops and countertops, and we do not have a product designed for submerged use.

Customers regularly ask about: - Swimming pools, including decorative inserts and tile mosaics - Hot tubs, including refinishing a heated tub with pigmented epoxy - Outdoor fountains in grouted natural stone - Baptismal fonts that stay filled with treated water - Aquariums, whether coating rocks and decor, fiberglassing a plywood tank, or casting thick clear panels in place of glass

The answer is the same for all of them: our epoxy is not designed for that application, and we don't have a product that is. That includes heated or chemically treated water, and none of our products are suitable for a tank holding fish or plants.

Once cured, the epoxy is waterproof and handles spills and everyday moisture on a bar or countertop, but that is a different use from staying submerged. If your project is a bar, table or countertop, we're happy to help.
