How long after a Deep Pour can I apply the Bar & Table Top coat?

Let UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy cure for at least 3 full days (72 hours) before you sand it and pour UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy over it. Do not apply the top coat over Deep Pour that is still soft or tacky.

Go by the clock, not by feel. Deep Pour is a slow-curing product by design, and the thinner it is poured, the longer it takes to dry. A 1" pour generally dries to the touch in 12-18 hours, and pours under 1" can stay tacky for 24-48 hours. That is normal. The cure time is still 72 hours regardless of depth, as long as the epoxy was mixed at the correct 2:1 ratio of resin to hardener and poured at least 1/4" thick.

The same 72-hour wait applies before you remove a piece from its mold or form.

After 3 days, when the Deep Pour has hardened, lightly sand-scuff it with 220-320 grit sandpaper, wipe the dust off with a clean, lint-free rag and denatured alcohol or acetone, and let it dry. Then seal coat any exposed wood, wait 4-6 hours, and pour a 1/8" flood coat of Bar & Table Top Epoxy over the entire surface. The wait and the prep are the same whether the top coat is clear or pigmented.
