Can you recommend a pigment color to match my project?
We can't choose a specific color to match a photo or an existing finish. Colors in photos always look slightly different from the true color in person, and each person sees color a little differently, so a shade picked from a screen may not be the one you want.
What works instead:
1. Browse the Pigmently mica powders and liquid dyes online to narrow down the family of shades you're after. 2. Order the 5g powder or 10ml liquid size of a few candidates. We don't offer free samples, but these sizes are inexpensive for testing. 3. Mix a small test batch. The amount you add changes the result: less pigment gives a lighter, more translucent tone, more gives a deeper, more solid one. 4. If no single color is right, blend two or more pigments to create your own custom shade, for example white and black liquid dye for a grey.
Pigmently colors are formulated for epoxy but can be used in any epoxy system, so the same approach works if you're recoating a surface that was finished with a different brand. Our color FAQ covers mixing in more detail: https://ultraclear.helpscoutdocs.com/article/80-epoxy-color-pigments
