Which epoxy do I use for each layer when embedding objects?

Choose the product by how thick each layer will be. UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy is for any layer at least 1/4" thick; it will not cure properly thinner than that. Pour it 1/4" to 1" per layer, add the next layer every 12-24 hours, and build up to 6" total. For any layer thinner than 1/4", use UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy, which pours 1/8" at a time every 4-6 hours.

Seal coat any porous surface such as wood with a thin brushed coat of Bar & Table Top Epoxy first, and wait 4-6 hours before the first Deep Pour layer. Dried flowers, game pieces, stones and similar items are easiest to handle if you glue them in place first. Any glue works except hot glue. You can also set pieces into the Bar & Table Top seal coat and use it as the adhesive, then build up the layers from there.

Finish with a Bar & Table Top Epoxy flood coat. Deep Pour Epoxy is not a final top coat, so any surface that will be used needs that protective layer. Let the Deep Pour Epoxy cure for 3 days, scuff-sand it with 220-320 grit, clean with denatured alcohol or acetone, seal coat any exposed wood, and pour the flood coat.
