Do I need both Deep Pour and Bar & Table Top Epoxy for my project?

Yes, if your project has a surface to coat and any void, gap, knot hole, pocket, or section deeper than 1/4" to fill. UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy fills the depth; UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy seals the wood and provides the hard, scratch-resistant finish on top. Deep Pour Epoxy is not a final surface for a table, bar, or countertop.

The order of work: 1. Seal coat the areas that will receive Deep Pour with Bar & Table Top Epoxy about 4 hours before you pour. Raw wood releases trapped air into the resin, so skipping the seal coat causes bubbles. 2. Fill the voids with Deep Pour Epoxy in layers of at least 1/4" (up to 1" per pour) until the surface is level. Tint it with a Pigmently pigment such as Dark Matter if you want black-filled voids. 3. Let the Deep Pour cure for 3 days, then sand and clean it. 4. Seal coat the entire surface with Bar & Table Top Epoxy. Use 2 or 3 seal coats on gnarly wood to close pinholes and small cracks. 5. Pour the flood coat 4 to 6 hours after the final seal coat. Past 10 hours, scuff and clean the surface first.

Voids shallower than 1/4" don't need Deep Pour; fill them with Bar & Table Top Epoxy in 1/8" layers every 4 to 6 hours.
