What temperature should the room be for Deep Pour Epoxy?

UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy does not have the 75°F requirement. It can be used anywhere from 60°F to 80°F, and cooler is better: a room between 65°F and 70°F is ideal. The cooler end of the range keeps larger, deeper pours from generating too much heat, so a basement that holds 62-63°F works well for a river pour. For a deep section, such as 1.75", split it into two pours 12-24 hours apart. For best results, keep humidity below 70%.

The 75°F rule applies to UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy, which must stay above 75°F for 3 days after pouring, and to UltraClear Art & Craft Epoxy, which should be used in a room between 75°F and 80°F. If you are finishing a Deep Pour project with a Bar & Table Top flood coat, bring the room up to 75°F or warmer for that coat and its 72-hour cure.

Do not expect Deep Pour to set quickly anywhere in its range. It is a slow-curing product by design, and the thinner the pour, the longer it takes: a 1" pour generally dries to the touch in 12-18 hours, and pours under 1" can take 24-48 hours. Allow 3 days before sanding or top coating it. Always pour at least 1/4" thick, in 1" layers every 12-24 hours (up to 2" at once is possible, but 1" layers are recommended), mixed at the 2:1 ratio of resin to hardener.
