How long after the seal coat can I pour Deep Pour Epoxy?

Pour the Deep Pour 4-6 hours after brushing on the seal coat of UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy. Within that window no sanding is required. The same re-coat window applies between multiple seal coats.

If more than 10 hours pass, lightly sand-scuff the cured seal coat with 220-320 grit sandpaper, then wipe off the dust with a clean rag and acetone or denatured alcohol. Once it is clean and fully dry, pour the Deep Pour. This is the procedure if you seal the edges one week and pour the next.

If you are using the seal coat itself to glue down embedded items, wait 24 hours before pouring. Sanding after 24 hours is standard, but if the objects keep you from reaching the whole surface, sand the exposed areas you can reach with 220-320 grit, clean, and pour; it will likely still work. Test on a small scale first. If you glue the items down first and then seal coat over them, you can pour 4-6 hours later with no sanding.

After the seal coat, the rest of the sequence is: 1. Pour Deep Pour layers 12-24 hours apart. Within that window no sanding is needed. Keep every layer at least 1/4" thick; Deep Pour cannot cure thinner than that. 2. Let the last Deep Pour layer cure at least 3 days, sand-scuff it with 220-320 grit, clean with acetone, then pour the Bar & Table Top flood coat as the final top coat.
