Which epoxy should I use to top coat cast resin pieces or Deep Pour?

Use UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy. It's the product we recommend as the clear top coat or flood coat over finished resin pieces, resin-decorated items such as a lazy Susan, and river-table or other pours made with UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy. Many customers use it as a durable, glass-like top coat over surfaces that already have a resin coating, and it self-levels to 1/8" to give the most durable, scratch-resistant finish.

Deep Pour Epoxy is only for the deep sections (the river, a void or a casting) and is not meant to be the top coat. For a table, bar or countertop, finish it with a flood coat of Bar & Table Top Epoxy for an added layer of durability and scratch resistance. Let the Deep Pour cure for at least 3 days first.

To get proper adhesion over any cured resin: 1. Lightly sand the existing resin surface with 220–320 grit sandpaper. 2. Clean off the sanding dust with acetone. 3. Pour the Bar & Table Top Epoxy flood coat.

If your piece combines wood and resin and you'd rather not have an epoxy finish over the wood, Osmo Polyx-Oil is the alternative. It acts like a standard wood finish and won't give the same level of shine as the epoxy.
