How do I pour multiple batches on a large bar top without seams?

Do not pour a large surface in sections. Mix one batch at a time: as long as each new batch is brushed or poured on within 20 minutes of the previous one, the batches flow together and cure as one seamless finish with no lines.

For UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy:

1. Seal coat: mix no more than 1 quart total (1 pint resin + 1 pint hardener) by hand with a stir stick, brush it on, then mix the next quart and continue where you left off. 2. Flood coat: mix up to 1 gallon total (1/2 gallon resin + 1/2 gallon hardener); a drill mixer is fine for this size batch. Pour it on and let it self-level rather than spreading it. Start at one end and work toward the other. Each gallon covers roughly 16 sq ft at 1/8" (allow about 30% extra when pouring over the sides), so a 1.6 gallon pour is simply two batches.

Never pre-mix batches. Mixed epoxy has about a 5-minute pot life in the container before it begins to overheat and set up, so pour each batch as soon as it is mixed. A helper is not required: mixing takes about 2-3 minutes for a quart and roughly 6 minutes for a gallon, well inside the window.
