Is my epoxy still good if it arrived frozen or very cold?
Yes. Freezing in transit does not affect the quality or performance of UltraClear epoxy, as long as you let it fully return to room temperature and its normal liquid state before you use it. That includes bottles that froze solid, a package that sat on the porch overnight or was delayed for days, and resin so cold it won't move when you tip the bottle. We see this every winter with customers across the country, and once the material has properly warmed it performs as intended.
What to do: 1. Bring the package indoors and let the containers warm up to room temperature; a warm room is enough. 2. To speed things up, or if any of the contents stay solid or have frozen chunks, set the containers in a bucket of hot tap water for 15-30 minutes, then shake them vigorously. 3. Repeat as needed until the contents are fully liquid again. 4. Use it at the room temperature for your product, following the normal instructions: above 75°F for Bar & Table Top and Art & Craft Epoxy, 60-80°F for Deep Pour Epoxy.
A frozen shipment does not cause bubbles. If a pour cures full of tiny bubbles, that typically comes from air introduced during mixing or from an unsealed porous surface releasing air; temperature, mixing technique and surface preparation are what produce a clear, bubble-free finish.
