Can I use Windex or other household cleaners on cured epoxy?

Yes. Warm, soapy water and a clean, lint-free cloth (a t-shirt type cloth or smooth microfiber) is what we recommend most, but Windex and similar products can be used, and most household cleaners work fine as long as they don't contain very harsh chemicals. If you need to sanitize the surface, use diluted bleach (1/4 cup of bleach to 1 gallon of water) or diluted alcohol as described in our maintenance guidelines.

Avoid acid-based cleaners, anything with a high concentration of bleach, and industrial-strength cleaners made for kitchen equipment or metal surfaces.

You don't need a protective film or topcoat to make the surface cleaner-resistant. UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy is a stand-alone, commercial-grade finish that is used on restaurant tables, bars, kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities without issues from the different cleaners used on them. Keep in mind that constant cleaning over time can eventually dull the gloss, which may be unavoidable in some commercial settings.
