When can I remove a Deep Pour from the mold and start sanding it?

Let UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy cure for at least 72 hours (3 days) before you take apart the form or pull the piece out of the mold. That is the guidance even for a pour around 1.25 inches deep. You don't need to wait for the full cure, which takes 7 to 14 days; the epoxy is cured and ready to demold after 3 days. The same 72 hours is the minimum before you sand or buff the Deep Pour.

If you are building a river table, the order of work after the 72 hours is:

1. Dismantle the mold or forms. 2. Sand-scuff the Deep Pour river and any excess with 220 to 320 grit sandpaper. 3. Wipe off the sanding dust with a clean rag and acetone or denatured alcohol, and let the surface dry. 4. Apply a seal coat and then a flood coat of UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy over the whole surface as normal. Deep Pour is not meant to be the wear surface of a table or bar, so it needs this top coat.

The same rule applies to the temporary dams or side barriers around a Bar & Table Top flood coat: remove them once the epoxy has cured for 72 hours in a room above 75°F.
