Which UltraClear products do I need for my first epoxy table?

It depends on how deep the epoxy needs to go.

Top coating only (a single slab, butcher block, countertop or bar top): you only need UltraClear Bar & Table Top Epoxy. It does the seal coat and the 1/8" self-leveling flood coat that gives the glass-like finish. Order enough for one seal coat and one flood coat (a 15 sq. ft. table takes 2 Gallons Combined); the calculator will size it.

A deep section to fill (a river, a void, a 1" seashell embed): you need both products. UltraClear Deep Pour Epoxy fills the deep section (it's only for pours at least 1/4" thick), and Bar & Table Top Epoxy seals the wood first and top coats the Deep Pour as a protective layer. A 17" round, 1" deep wood table takes a 1.5 Gallon Kit of Deep Pour plus a 1 Quart Kit of Bar & Table Top.

A shallow 1/4" pour with small embedded objects doesn't need Deep Pour: a seal coat plus two 1/8" flood coats of Bar & Table Top Epoxy gets you there, but you'll need raised edges or a temporary dam of epoxy tape to contain it.

Supplies: epoxy tape and silicone caulking for molds and dams, painter's plastic to catch drips, and an oil-based polyurethane for sealing undersides.
