How do I use the heat gun that came in the epoxy tool kit?
The heat gun in the UltraClear Epoxy tool kit doesn't ship with a manual because there's nothing to set up. It's a standard 1,500-watt heat gun, and you can use any heat setting.
To use it, turn it on and swiftly wave it across the epoxy surface to pop the air bubbles. Keep it moving: don't hold it over one spot for too long. Our tutorial videos show exactly how it's done: https://www.bestbartopepoxy.com/tutorial-videos/
The same approach works for UltraClear Art & Craft Epoxy. Hold a heat gun or propane torch about 8 inches from the surface in a steady waving motion; bubbles can be popped for up to 40 minutes after pouring.
For cleanup, the "appropriate solvent" mentioned in the instructions is acetone or denatured alcohol; either one cleans up spills.
